Why bother with a beta?
To clarify further, there's no universal bnet2 server blade and we just install different games on it. The service Diablo III will run on is completely untested, which is the top reason for the beta, followed closely by personal system testing, patching systems (also new), and gameplay feedback. http://www.blizzblues.com/us/why-bother-with-a-beta-27822632463.html

Diablo 3 TRIPLE monitor support
I just hope 16:10 resolutions don't get zoomed in like it did on SC2.16:10 is MUCH better in every aspect compared to 16:9, but in SC2 they made it reveal less of the screen because of the zoom closer to the ground.Probably, the way things are going, I will get disapointed again. =/That's because seeing more play space in StarCraft II c.. http://www.blizzblues.com/us/diablo-3-triple-monitor-support-27822632495.html

Sounds Missing from the Beta Gameplay Footage
I couldn't help but notice that in the beta B-roll footage some skills and even monsters didn't have sound. For instance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbGeuFkZIMIAt times 6:50 and 6:52 the sounds for Fan of Knives literally don't play. Why isn't Diablo 3 in 3D?
We want the game to essentially look like you're playing a painting. Everything is 3D, but the textures and ways that scenes are built are intended to give the look of a painted scene. Some games go for realism with a lot of shaders and high poly counts, that's just not our intent with the visual style. Lvl 30 to 60 deadzone?

Those are just countdowns, I don't think post times have been finalized but they're likely not going to be much shorter than a day or so. Also keep in mind there's automated bidding for you. If you want to bid on an item you can set a maximum you want to bid, and the system will automatically counter-bid against others up to your maximum.
