Vi er tre gutter med omkring 20 machines til sammen, og vi vil gerne til at have lavet dem om til organer :P Ved ikke lige hvad vi kan tage den på alene, så vi søger en til, der gerne skal kunne carry lidt :P Vi er en wiz, en barb og enten en monk eller CM wiz.

Ny patch på PTR og i Beta

Patch 2.0.1 er nu tilgængelig på både PTR og i RoS Beta.



Blizzard har lavet endnu en omfattende update til PTR/Beta, og de fulde detaljer kan læses her:
New Patch for 2.0.1 PTR and Closed Beta Now Available

Der er mange updates, men her følger et kort overblik over nogle af ændringerne på PTR:

  • Der er mange ændringer af skills. Mange skills på alle classes har fået ændret deres damage type. Typisk fra Physical til andet (fx fire). Der er dog også nogle der har fået ændret fx dmg, og generelt er wizard's Archon blevet nerfet over hele linjen.
  • Expert, Master og Torment 1 er blevet gjort lettere, mens resten af Torment difficulities er blevet lidt sværere, i mens Torment 6 forbliver nogenlunde det samme.
  • Spillere med høj paragon level (250+) burde opleve hurtigere leveling.
  • Ændringer til crafting og crafting materials.
  • Ændringer af übers/Infernal Machine events (hovedsageligt ændret drop rate af organs).
  • Massere af ændringer til items, fx er en del Craftede set item bonusser blevet ændret, og der er også en del ændringer på nogle legendary items.
  • Ændringer på Monstre; monster density, monster damage og monster health blandt andet.

Og her en kort liste over ændringer i closed beta:

  • Ændringer på adventure mode; Bounties og Nephalem Rifts.
  • Massere af ændringer på skills, mere markante ændringer end i PTR. Crusader skills og WD og barb skills (level 60+ skills for de sidste vedkommende)
  • Ændringer af Crafting
  • Ændringer af über events

RoS: Enchanting Legacy Items; Ikke længere en mulighed.

Spillere får nu mindre grund til at holde fast i deres items frem mod udgivelsen Reaper of Souls.

Det er for få timer siden blevet afsløret at Enchanting (altså re-rolling af affixes/stats) på såkaldte Legacy Items (items fra før RoS), ikke vil være muligt. Dette gøres fordi specifikke level 60 legacy items der blev re-rollet, kunne blive alt for stærke i forhold til nye items.

Det blev afsløret i et blue post af Community Manager Nevalistis.

Currently, items enchant values that are equivalent to the item's level. However, there's a major change coming in the next build, and this thread was the most appropriate to communicate it in given the topic at hand.

In the next Beta patch, Legacy items (or items that drop prior to Patch 2.0.1) will no longer be able to be enchanted. This was a decision we ultimately made because certain Legacy items, when enchanted, became disproportionately strong compared to new items, which isn't the intent.

However, there's an interesting "bug," if you'd like to call it, that will result from this change in the next Beta patch - all items gained up until the patch will no longer be able to be enchanted. This is an artifact of the fix implementation, and we felt it prudent to communicate this as soon as we could for those of you in the Beta. All items that drop in Patch 2.0.1 and forward will be able to be enchanted, so this shouldn't be an issue as we move into the live patch and onward to the expansion launch.

Dette vil uden tvivl have stor betydning for en del spillere, der har gemt visse Legacy items for at rerolle dem. Det bliver ikke nævnt specifikt hvilke items der blev set som et problem, men man kunne måske tro at det var noget som fx en Mempo med crit chance og Echoing Fury.

Nu er spørgsmålet så, om folk vil beholde det gear som de havde tænkt sig at rerolle, for bare at bruge det indtil de finder bedre gear i RoS, eller om Auction House kommer til at opleve et boom af items.

Nephalem Rifts

I Diablo 3's første expansion, Reaper of Souls, sat til udgivelse i 2014, vil der være adskillige nye features. Denne artikel vil beskæftige sig med de såkaldte "Nephalem Rifts". Blizzard ser dem som en mulighed for at give en hurtig måde at runne loot på, og samtidig lege med fuldstændig randomization.



Hvad er Nephalem Rifts?

Nephalem Rifts, som vi indtil for nyligt kendte som "loot runs", er dungeons, der er fuldstændigt tilfældigt genereret, hvilket vil sige, at terrænet/områderne i sig selv er helt tilfældigt, og at monstrene i disse er tilfældige. Ligeledes er antallet af levels i Riften også tilfældigt, men kan være helt op til 10. Det betyder, at de kan være et mix af monstre og terræn fra alle acts, her er et par eksempler:







De er designet til at kunne klares på 10 til 15 minutter. De er tænkt som en feature med stor "genspilningsværdi", og en højst lukrativ måde at loot farme på.

Monster density i disse Rifts er også tilfældig, og højst varierende, hvilket kan betyde at enten et enkelt level af riften, eller endda den hele, kan være fuldstændigt proppet.

Hvad skal man så i disse "Rifts"?

Det går ud på, at du skal nakke et bestemt antal monstre (angivet i procent, i quest hjørnet af skærmen). Efter dette antal er nedlagt, spawner en tilfældig boss, som du så også skal dræbe.





Hvordan kommer man ind i Nephalem Rifts?

For at komme ind i en Nephalem Rift, skal man være i en af byerne - ligegyldigt hvilket act - have en "Rift Keystone" i sit inventory, og trykke på en "Nephalem Obelisk".

Rift Keystones fås hovedsageligt ved at klare bounties (læs mere om bounties her), men kan også droppe tilfældigt i Adventure Mode.


loot?

Udover det loot du eventuelt finder undervejs i Riften (hvilket gerne skulle være en god mængde, i forhold til monster density), får du, når du færdiggør missionen, guld, experience og de såkaldte "blood shards" som kan bruges til at gamble om random items.




Nephalem Rift specific shrines

I Nephalem Rifts vil der være nogle nye shrines, som ikke findes andre steder i spillet. Dette skyldes, at de kan give nogle ekstreme bonusser, som ikke ville passe ind andre steder i spillet, men fungerer fint i de begrænsede Rifts. Blizzard giver følgende eksempler: Udødelighedsshrine, et shrine der giver et ekstremt movement speed boost, og et shrine der giver en lightning aura der dræber alt hvad der kommer i nærheden.

Bounties

I Diablo 3's første expansion, Reaper of Souls, sat til udgivelse i 2014, vil der være adskillige nye features. Denne artikel vil beskæftige sig med de såkaldte "Bounties"


Hvad er bounties?
Bounties er små events/quests, som vil forekomme i den nye game mode, Adventure mode.

Bounties er noget man selv kan vælge om man vil klare eller ej. At klare dem giver en reward, mere om dette senere.

Bounties er mærket på det nye Waypoint system, med små sølvfarvede quest markers, og en gul pil over dem.



I al enkelthed går de ud på at gøre nogle specifikke ting i et act. Det kan for eksempelvis være at dræbe en boss (Queen Aranae, Skeleton King, Maghda etc.), at dræbe et unikt monster (dem med lilla navn), at cleare en dungeon (Khazra Den, Decaying Crypt etc.), eller at klare en af de såkaldte "events" (De små valgfrie "missioner", man kan få rundt omkring - f.eks. den med at cleare Forlorn Farm i Fields of Misery, The Ancients Last Stand i Festering Woods osv.)

Det er tilfældigt, hvilke bounties der er tilgængelige i hvert game man opretter i adventure mode.

Bounty completed! Rewards:

Som sagt er der en reward for at klare bounties. Denne reward består både af den sædvanlige "quest completed" reward, nemlig guld og exp (dog buffet betydeligt i forhold til, hvad vi får for at klare normale missioner lige nu i Diablo 3) og de såkaldte "Blood Shards", som kan bruges til at gamble om random items med - noget mange har savnet siden Diablo 2.



Sidst men ikke mindst får man også de såkaldte "Horadric Caches", som, når de åbnes, dropper en betydelig bunke items rundt om dig, og også har en chance for at droppe "Rift Keystones", som giver adgang til de ligeledes nye "Nephalem Rifts", som du kan læse mere om her. Riftstones kan også droppe tilfældigt overalt i Adventure Mode.




Derudover har Blizzard intentioner om at lave en mængde legendary items, som kun kan findes inde i Bounty systemet - mere vides på nuværende tidspunkt ikke.

Blizzard's tanker med bounties

Blizzard's intentioner med bounties, er at give nem adgang til ikke-obligatorisk indhold, og altså give spillere incitament for at se mere af de forskellige acts, og monstre og events i disse. Derudover giver det en oplevelse af frihed og guidet tur på samme tid. Hvis man ikke gider mere campaign, men heller ikke lige ved, hvor man skal tage hen i Adventure Mode, er bounties det optimale valg.

Campaign mode/Adventure mode



I Reaper of Souls vil der, modsat tidligere, være to game modes at vælge i mellem. Denne guide giver dig et hurtigt overblik over features i disse to modes, og lidt af Blizzard's tanker bag dette system.


Hvad er Campaign Mode?



Campaign mode er hurtigt forklaret, for det er såmænd sådan, som det fungerer på nuværende tidspunkt i Diablo 3. Dvs. den oprindelige spiloplevelse med de oprindelige acts, bosses, områder og muligheder.

Du vælger en quest, og har så kun adgang til, hvad der er i spillet indtil det punkt, hvor du er i questen, og skal derfor klare questen for at kunne komme videre. Altså fx dræbe The Butcher, for at komme fra act 1 til act 2.

Denne game mode er altså for dem, der gerne vil gennemspille historien, og have spillet som en sammenhængende oplevelse. Det er dog værd at bemærke, at man skal unlocke acts igennem Campaign Mode, før man kan spille dem i adventure mode.


Hvad er Adventure Mode?



Ja, hvad er Adventure Mode så? Man kan nærmest drage en parallel fra Adventure Mode i D3:RoS til Diablo 2 - Adventure Mode betyder nemlig fuldstændigt fri roaming! Man har adgang til alle WPs på tværs af alle acts. Dette betyder, at man har meget større frihed, hvad angår runs. I stedet for at være begrænset til Act 1, kan du nu hoppe direkte fra de mest lukrative spots i Act 1, til de mest lukrative spots i Act 2, 3, 4 og 5. I Adventure Mode er det altså dig selv, der styrer eventyret, og de fleste story-mæssige dele er da også fjernet i denne game mode.

Samtidig står det dig også fuldstændigt frit at vælge hvilken sværhedsgrad du vil spille på.

Derudover får du i Adventure Mode også adgang til nyt gameplay.

Adventure mode specifikke gameplay features!

På nuværende tidspunkt er der to features i Adventure mode som du kan stifte bekendtskab med:

Bounties som er små valgfrie "quests" hvor du får en specifik opgave som skal klares. Læs mere om bounties her

Nephalem Rifts som tidligere var kendt som loot runs. Disse er dungeons fyldt med monstre, en boss og masser af loot, som kan klares på kort tid. Læs mere om Nephalem Rifts her


Campaign over for Adventure Mode

Blizzard stræber efter at gøre de to game modes nogenlunde sammenlignelige, hvad angår reward, experience, sværhedsgrad osv. De er dog klar over at Adventure mode har den største replay value, idet den er mere tilpasset til at farme.

Campaign Mode er til dem, der gerne vil have en lineær og guidet oplevelse med spillet, og til dem der gerne vil opleve spillet som en sammenhængende historie.

Blizzard regner med at begge gameplay modes vil blive spillet, men selvfølgelig regner de også med at Adventure Mode vil blive (gen)spillet mest, hvilket de også synes er helt fint, da designet af de to modes ligger op til netop dette.

Ligesom med D3 har Blizzard lavet en såkaldt "Friends and Family beta", men hvor den i D3 var meget begrænset (til netop friends og family), er den denne gang lidt mere udvidet.

Derudover lover Blizzard også at den rigtige closed beta kommer "snart".

Samtidigt med Closed beta vil der også komme patch 2.0.1 på Patch Test Realm, med Paragon 2.0 og Loot 2.0, som alle kan afprøve.

The Diablo® III: Reaper of Souls™ Friends and Family Beta is now underway!

In the past, participants in this particular phase of public testing usually only include friends and relatives of Blizzard employees. With Reaper of Souls, however, we've decided to buck that trend and extend invites to valued media contacts and key members of the Blizzard community. We're also inviting 3,000 of our most active Diablo III players from around the world who've opted in for beta testing—something we've never done for any Friends and Family Beta test before!

Participants in the Reaper of Souls Friends and Family Beta are not required to abide by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). As a result, you may see coverage in the form of articles, videos, streams, and forum posts appear over the next few weeks regarding various features and changes in the expansion. When reviewing this coverage, please keep in mind that the Friends and Family Beta is still an early glimpse at Reaper of Souls, which means that all content is subject to change before release. We also encourage you to be mindful of story spoilers, as the Friends and Family Beta includes the entire expansion, excluding the final boss fight.


Reaper of Souls Closed Beta Coming Soon

Our Friends and Family Beta is just the first step of public testing, and by the end of the year we will be moving into Closed Beta. Since our Reaper of Souls Closed Beta test will also feature all content in the expansion (again, excluding the final boss fight), invitations will be extremely limited. However, we’ll continue handpicking community members to invite to the Closed Beta and bringing in additional players through opt-ins to ensure that all of our features like the Crusader, Mystic, and Adventure Mode get the testing they deserve.



If you’re interested in participating in the Reaper of Souls Closed Beta, please make sure you’ve opted-in for beta testing. You can do this by adjusting your Beta Profile Settings under the Account Management section of your Battle.net Account. Please note that opting in to the Reaper of Souls Closed Beta will not guarantee you access, but it will at least give you a chance at joining our beta test.

Public Test Region Access Also Coming Soon

Around the same time we begin our Reaper of Souls Closed Beta, we will also be launching our Public Test Region (PTR) for Patch 2.0.1! This patch will feature updates including Paragon 2.0, Loot 2.0, our new difficulty system, the addition of Clans and Communities, as well as balancing and tuning for all five Diablo III classes.

Anyone with the Battle.net Desktop App and Diablo III license will be able to participate in PTR testing.

We'll have more information on how to access the Public Test Region when it launches. In the meantime, if you'd like more information on the Battle.net App, check out our FAQ and be sure to send us your feedback using the Battle.net App Open Beta Forum.

Diablo 2 / LoD Generelt / Diablo II ladder reset d. 26/11/13

Hvis man sidder og savner Diablo II lidt, kommer den optimale mulighed for et lille nostalgi-trip om lidt under to uger, med et reset af D2 ladderen!

Hvis det kommer til at være som de andre år, betyder det at en bunke folk herindefra sætter sig og spiller lige så snart serverne kommer online igen, så hold øje med om der ikke kommer nogle team up tråde! ;)

Resetet kommer til at forløbe som sædvanligt;

It’s that time again! On the morning of Tuesday, November 26, we’ll be conducting maintenance in order to reset the Diablo II ladder. We anticipate the realms could be down for up to six hours, and during that time all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as creating ladder-only rune words.

This ladder reset, like all those before it, creates a clean slate where all ladder characters begin at level 1 with no previous items to help them. To participate, simply wait until the Diablo II realms return to service on May, log in to Battle.net, and tick the “Ladder Character” checkbox when creating a new character. You can track ladder character leveling progress by clicking on the Ladder button from the main Diablo II in-game Battle.net interface.

Der er blevet lagt en blog op på Diablo 3 siden, kaldet "Messages From Hell: The Future of Diablo III", hvori Diablo 3's nye Game Director præsenterer sig selv. Han er tilsyneladende en af hovedaktørerne bag udviklingen af Diablo 3 til konsol, men bliver altså nu Game Director for spillet generelt.

My name is Josh Mosqueira, I am the new game director for Diablo III, and I want to take a moment to say "Hi" and introduce myself.

I'm a writer, designer, and lifelong gamer, and I got my official start designing games back in 1996. That's when I had my first real break as a writer for White Wolf (makers of the Vampire: The Masquerade pen-and-paper role-playing game), when I co-wrote Constantinople by Night and Montreal by Night while serving in the Canadian army and finishing university. After that, I went on to work on a number of popular game series, including Homeworld, Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and FarCry. However, 1996 is a key year for me for another reason, because it's when I, like many of you, was introduced to Diablo.

Having a heavy background in pen-and-paper design—specifically in telling stories and building worlds set in realms of horror and fantasy—I was immediately drawn in by Diablo. While the game's dark, gothic setting hooked me, it was the intense, fast-paced action gameplay and the thrill of finding awesome loot that kept me coming back for years after.

That's always been the magic of the game for me. It starts with a setting that pits epic heroes against the teeming, endless hordes of the Burning Hells, in an adventure filled with nonstop, intense action. It's in players facing off against enemies like the Butcher and Diablo, villains who truly capture the essence of evil. And having the alluring promise of new and more powerful treasures around every corner doesn't hurt either.

When I joined Blizzard, I was entrusted with the responsibility of helping to determine whether it would be possible to create a console version of Diablo III and working on what that might look like. I took this responsibility extremely seriously as I wanted to ensure that the legions of players new to the series on console could experience the magical combination of action and treasure hunting that Diablo is known for. It was important to me that we retain that essential core that is Diablo—every player who has ever roamed the shadowy halls of Sanctuary's dungeons, hunting vile demons and looting their corpses, knows it well. My goal has been to help keep that core magic formula going strong with Diablo III, and to continue refining the game, initially for the console version, and now for the game as a whole.

For me, first as a Blizzard gamer and now as a game designer at the company, I've always felt that one of the things that sets Blizzard games apart is our passion and commitment to support our games well after launch. Many of the people I've worked with here have been at Blizzard since the early days of the company, and our heavy focus on putting the games first is the culture they helped create and that everyone here lives by. That's why we didn't call it a day after launching Diablo III and move on to the next project—the care, dedication, diligence, and ongoing effort from our development team continued full steam ahead as we listened to and acted on your feedback. We don't just ship a game and leave it at that; we make sure that it grows and evolves after launch.

In the year since Diablo III launched, we've made good strides, but there are still things we can improve and new surprises in store for everyone.  As Travis mentioned earlier, itemization is one of our big focuses for Diablo III moving forward. We want items to feel more meaningful, and we want players to be excited about the next loot drop. Our goal is to make the loot experience more enjoyable for ALL players. This includes reducing the amount of loot that drops while improving the overall quality, introducing targeted Legendaries, and giving players ways to directly customize their character's armor—both visually and mechanically. We're also looking into ways to reduce the impact of the Auction House. While we think the feature does provide a lot of value, it shouldn’t feel like the end-all-be-all force driving character progression.



We've built a solid foundation for the future of Diablo III and we're focused on staying true to the core essence of the game, while pushing boundaries to evolve gameplay in ways that will keep players like you excited. We hope you'll agree that with each update, the game keeps getting better and better, and we're only just getting started.
In the future, we'll be focused on preserving the core fantasy by cultivating the roots of the Diablo storyline, fine-tuning the heroes for what lays ahead, and creating new monsters and demons that will once again plant the seed of fear in your hearts. While some Diablo players out there are just looking for a fun single playthrough of the game, for many others, part of the appeal of the game is coming back again and again to test their mettle against challenging foes in an ongoing search for rare treasures, with the goal of making their heroes more and more powerful. We want to give those players, and really everyone, even more reasons to keep coming back to Sanctuary, and we have some great ideas brewing for ways to address randomization, what our endgame should offer, and how to make playing online with friends truly fulfilling.

To this end, you can expect to hear more from our designers, producers, and directors about what we have in store.

Som bekendt var det jo Diablo 3's fødselsdag d. 15. i denne måned, og i den anledning har Blizzard indsamlet nogle stats.
