Beta any time soon?
We're still looking good for third quarter, which is before the end of September.We're preparing ourselves for an extremely limited, and extremely rough beta. Experience gain in a party
Sounds like some big decisions that should be made soon. Probably a good time to open up the beta so that people can test these hugely important gameplay elements. ;)Teehee. Can we take Bashiok's relative absence and the sudden appearance of multiple mods on these forums as proof that he's busy getting the low-down on things yet to be unveiled about D3 for us? Perhaps a beta date or some specifics on things Blizzard has put off talking about. Those who saw the new cinematic...
Those who visited for the recent press tour saw the first minute or so of the intro cinematic, which is done in a stylized 'sketch' look. The idea being it's Cain relating his prophecy via his journal, so it's sort of his journal come alive, if you will. No Internet = No diablo 3???
In addition to all the other benefits that we believe ultimately come from having everyone online such as an active, centralized community, a popular arena system, accessible character storage, etc. etc. Diablo III is built on a client/server architecture, which means not all the data for the game or mechanics reside on the client (your computer).. http://www.blizzblues.com/us/no-internet-no-diablo-3-27822632451.html

I love how Bashiok comes in here and cherrypicks some random post in which he'll have an answer to, but doesn't really address the RMAH uproar that has divided the community. The only way to address it would be to say it won't be in the game, or will be sequestered off to separate servers. Neither of which are going to happen.
