Hey guys!
I know I might not be Danish (I'm Bulgarian) but hey, this topic is exactly for me I've been preparing for the D3 release for months! So, here's how it is:
1. Work and social life. First, I'm getting a week free of work. I've already spoken about this with my boss and he's OK, so it won't be a problem. My vacation starts the day of the release. My girlfriend is an incredibly nice person so she understands me and will just let me play without interrupting. And I've promised her some Nutella & Skittles, so she's OK with all this
2. Food & drinks. I'll get them the day before the release. It will include huge amounts of Doritos - Nacho Cheese, KFC and/or some roasted chicken (homemade & fat-free, of course), Monster Energy, pure mineral water, multivitamin pills and some. I might as well use some protein powder & "Hot Blood" powder (not together with Monster or I'll probably have a heart attack), so I give my body everything it needs to survive.
3. The sleep. I'll watch movies like all night and until morning at the day of release. Then I'll sleep tight for 12-14 hours, get up at 22:30, wake myself with some RAUNCHY, go to the mall where the release party will be, get the game (CE of course), run to my house (or get a taxi if I find some fast), install the game and play the game for days, until I fall asleep on the keyboard at some point. I can't say if I'll be able to hold on for a week. In fact, if I try, I'll probably die or fall asleep at some time. I'm not so damn hardcore, I suppose. I suggest you to get some sleep because this is really dangerous. 3 days of non-stop gaming will kill you. That's why I'll be getting some sleep every once in a while, just to hold my body up, my spirit fresh and my eyes wide open (to see the game, after all, I don't wanna see some blurry sh*t in front of me because of staying awake).
4. The desktop. I'm getting a new table in March. Smaller, more comfortable, ideal height so my hands don't get tired. I also got a new comfortable chair. To be honest, I even bought a new laptop for this. It's ready for heavy gaming (Lenovo Y570), now has a fan pad, and I have an additional fan in case of overheating. There's a ionizer and air purifier in one of the USB ports, so that should be enough for taking some nice air in my lungs (and if it's warm, I might very well open some windows. I've got a creepy Diablo mouse, a creepy Blizzard mousepad and a nice 22" LG monitor.
5. Everything else is easy. I c an always send someone to the store or call KFC/Domino's/Subway for some food delivery. I have everything I need in case of a headache, eye drops (Visyne) for red and tired eyes and... that's pretty much it. I know I will survive.
I've been waiting for this moment for sooo much time. It WILL be perfect
