Players may now save up to five different builds per character using the Armory
This new feature can be found in the town hub within each Act
Saving a build in the Armory will snapshot your character’s current gear, socketed gems, active and passive skills, and Kanai’s Cube powers
Equipping a saved armory build will automatically swap items and gear between the character and stash
New Feature: Crafting Mat Storage
Starting with Patch 2.5.0, crafting materials picked up or obtained through salvaging will now appear in a separate storage tab, freeing up space in the shared stash
This tab can be accessed through the Inventory window
Primal Ancients are for players who have largely completed gearing for their build and finished their Season Journey, but want to continue playing. They’re also for non-seasonal players who have great gear and spend most of their time gaining Paragon Levels and upgrading Legendary Gems. We want to extend the excitement of seeing gear drop or spending Blood Shards at Kadala past the point of getting Ancients in every slot. Primals provide an avenue for dedicated players to complete a build, without feeling like required upgrades.
Legendary and Set items will now have a chance to roll as Primal Ancient
These items are much more rare than Ancient items and have perfect Ancient-level stats on all affixes, including the item’s Legendary Power
Note: Primal Ancients will only begin dropping after a character on the player’s account has reached Greater Rift 70 Solo
There are separate unlocks for normal and Hardcore characters, as well as Seasonal and non-Seasonal characters
The stats on these items will be tailored to the character class you are playing when the item first drops
Primal Ancient items salvage into 15 Forgotten Souls
Ancient Items
Now salvage into 3 Forgotten Souls
Legendary Items
The following items have been adjusted
Rimeheart
Increased the chance to proc its Legendary item power on frozen targets from 10% to 20%

The slow and damage bonuses persist on enemies for 5 seconds after they exit Slow Time
Some existing class-specific Legendary items have been updated to include a unique Legendary power
Note: Existing items will not be affected by the following changes. Only new versions of the items will roll with the added Legendary power
Demon Hunter
Holy Point Shot
Impale throws two additional knives
The functionality of some items has changed
The Barber
This weapon is now a Ceremonial Knife instead of a Dagger, allowing it to roll the same damage as other Witch Doctor items
The damage bonus to the final explosion of this item’s Legendary power has also been reintroduced
With this change, the item’s Legendary power will also be updated in Kanai’s Cube for those who already extracted it
Players will need to re-equip the power in the cube for the updated version to appear
Manald Heal
Wizard pets such as Hydras will now also proc the damage component of Manald Heal when attacking a target
The number of procs generated by channeled skills while using this item has been reduced by 25%

Fixed an issue causing Elite enemies with the Juggernaut affix to incorrectly take normal damage from Slow Time when combined with Delsere’s Magnum Opus

The balance of Sanctuary has been threatened, and the Priests of Rathma have sent an acolyte to help restore it. Wielding the visceral powers of blood and bone (along with a cadre of curses), the Necromancer will soon be joining the battle to protect Sanctuary from the Burning Hells. While we’ve been hard at work putting the various bits and pieces of what makes up a Diablo III class together for the Necromancer, we wanted to pop our heads out of the crypt and share a glimpse of what we’ve been working on.
Skill: Grim Scythe
Grim Scythe summons a huge scythe in a wide arc, dealing damage and restoring Essence. As a generator ability, this will be your bread and butter ability for building up to your more powerful damage dealing spells.
Skill Rune: Death Nova (Blood Nova)
Blood Nova is one of the five skill runes for the base Death Nova skill. Blood Nova does impressive damage, but this comes at a cost—using this rune requires spending both Essence and some of your Health.
Skill Rune: Devour (Cannibalize)
Devour is a resource-regeneration skill, allowing you to regain Essence by consuming the corpses of your slain foes. As one of the runes for Devour, Cannibalize also allows you to regain Health, which is handy for fueling costly spells like Blood Nova!
Skill Rune: Raise Golem (Blood Golem)
We showed a sneak peek of the Blood Golem at BlizzCon, but now he’s outfitted with animations, skills, and clever tricks! The Blood Golem is a burly companion who can sacrifice himself to heal you. Don’t worry—he’ll reconstruct himself right away, and deal sizeable amounts of damage to surrounding foes in the process!
Skill: Leech
Joining Decrepify in the Necromancer’s repertoire of curses, Leech is a dastardly spell that allows you to transfer some of the health of attacked enemies to yourself and your allies. It’s great not only for keeping yourself healthy, but offering support to your party members as well!
Our Party Grows Stronger – Female Necromancer Model
The concept art from BlizzCon comes alive—we’ve completed the female Necromancer model in all her macabre glory.
What’s Next for the Necromancer?
We know you’ve been dying (pun completely intended) to know when you’ll be able to get your hands on the Necromancer. There are a lot of unanswered questions floating around out there, so we’re going to tackle a few of them. If you don’t see your question here, remember we answered quite a few in our original Necromancer overview and more in our Necro Q&A.
Will there be a PTR for the Necromancer?
Yes! The PTR for the Necromancer will be a little different from other PTRs—stay tuned for more information.
Is the Necromancer part of an expansion pack?
No, the Necromancer is part of a content pack which includes the class, an in-game pet, cosmetic wings, two additional character slots, two additional stash tabs (on PC), a portrait frame, pennant, banner, and a banner sigil.
It will, however, launch alongside a free major content patch that includes two new zones, Challenge Rifts, and more. These additional features will be available for all players with Diablo III: Reaper of Souls or the Ultimate Evil Edition.
How much will the pack cost?
We’re not ready to announce a price yet—we know you’re eager to find out, but we have a few more i’s to dot and t’s to cross before we can share.
When is the Necromancer coming to Diablo III?
We are currently aiming for the second half of 2017; when we have an official release date, we’ll certainly share it!

Zones

Fixed an issue which prevented Greater Rift Guardians from reliably teleporting to players when they spawned more than a few screens away
Fixed an issue which sometimes cause Rift Guardians to spawn in a location where they couldn’t be targeted

The waypoint for Pandemonium Fortress Level 2 in Adventure Mode has been moved from the entrance to the midpoint of the level in order to provide quicker access to some bounties
With this change, bounties requiring you to kill unique enemies will only spawn these enemies in the first half of the dungeon, and all monsters on the map will contribute to bounty progress
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue preventing the scene for Bounty: Research Problems from spawning
Fixed bugs that led to large open areas with no monsters in some rooms in Greater Rifts, which was especially common near the entrance to certain floors
Quality of life improvements have been made to enemies
Several enemies that leap at the player can now be killed in mid-air, including Winged Assassins, Punishers, Lacuni Huntresses, and Burrowing Leapers
Several enemies that can become un-attackable, such as Sandsharks, Snakemen, and Rockworms now spend more time vulnerable. When these enemies do burrow or stealth, they no longer remain in this state for more than 3 seconds
In addition, emerging Rockworms now always show ground cracks to help attentive players avoid their initial attack
Enemy Affixes
Shielding
Will now be cancelled immediately if the shielded monster is the last remaining monster in a pack
Reflects Damage
Now fires a projectile instead of instantly dealing damage to the player
The warning duration for this affix has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1, and its active duration has been reduced from 6 seconds to 4
Electrified
Crawling lightning generated by this affix now pierces, allowing it to damage multiple targets in succession
Juggernaut
New enemy affix
Juggernaut monsters are permanently immune to crowd control effects, but move more slowly than normal monsters
Only a rare Elite enemy can be a Juggernaut
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue which caused Winged Assassins to sometimes travel across the ground instead of through the air when leaping
Fixed an issue which prevented Greater Rift Guardians from reliably teleporting to players when they spawned more than a few screens away
Fixed an issue which sometimes cause Rift Guardians to spawn in a location where they couldn’t be targeted
The second day of BlizzCon 2016 is winding down! We’ve just wrapped up our Dev Talk and QA panel during which we shared more exciting content coming to Diablo III. In case you missed it, we have a helpful summary of the news below so you can stay up to date with what’s in store for the game.
Play Seasons On Console
We’re bringing the fresh experience of starting over in Seasons that PC and Mac players have enjoyed to the PS4 and Xbox One! For those who aren’t familiar with them, Seasons offer the chance to earn a full six-piece class set for achieving certain goals, while also granting new pets, cosmetic items and more.
If that’s not enough, you’ll also be able to race against other players for the chance to earn a coveted spot on the Seasonal leaderboards. How far will your Season Journey extend? There’s only one way to find out! Keep an eye out for this feature starting next year.
In addition to the above, we’ll also be adding in new enemies, improving Rifts and Greater Rifts, and – of course – adding brand new Legendary item powers for you to enjoy. Plus, you’ll soon get a free additional chance to upgrade your Legendary Gems in Greater Rifts if you complete one without dying.
And there’s more! We’ve got a change that’s to dye for – Myriam the Mystic now has a new tab in her interface that lets you change colors on your gear quickly. Hunting down vendors and taking up inventory space with pots of dye will soon be a thing of the past.
Explore All New Zones
There are more places to see in Sanctuary, and you’ll soon be discovering a few of these in Adventure Mode which come with their own new Bounties and events.
The desolate, fog-enshrouded Moors have been occupied by armies and empires over time. Beneath them lies the Temple of the Firstborn – a place of evil unlike anything you’ve seen before. Catch a glimpse of these two new areas below, and look forward to exploring them next year.
Try A New Build With Challenge Rifts
Have you ever seen someone using a particular build and wanted to try it out for yourself? Starting next year, you’ll be able to do just that – and you won’t even have to gear up for it either!
Challenge Rifts are an upcoming feature which snapshot an actual player’s build from the game each week and let everyone take it for a spin in a static dungeon. If you’ve been hoping for a way to discover new builds while racing to beat your previous personal best in Greater Rifts, this is your chance.
Prepare Yourself
We’re working hard to bring all of this and more to you in the coming months, and we can’t wait for you to experience it all for yourself and tell us what you think!
Are you ready for the challenges ahead, nephalem? Let us know, and we’ll see you in Sanctuary!
Blizzards eget sammendrag for Diablo fra første dag til Blizzcon
The first day of BlizzCon 2016 draws to a close, and what a day it’s been! Between celebrating our past, revealing the future for Diablo III, and throwing an anniversary party to remember, there’s a lot to cover on all the excitement shaking up the Anaheim Convention Center!
Looking Back on Twenty Years in Sanctuary
On December 31, 1996, the world knew true terror as they descended into the haunted depths below Tristram Cathedral. On that fateful day, Diablo brought a whole new experience to the role-playing game genre that continues to resonate with players to this day.
Reflecting on our long and storied past, it’s crazy to think we went from a game that supported only a single language (English) and introduced the world to Battle.net…to the game’s latest iteration, spanning five platforms and 13 languages.
This year marks the twentieth milestone in the history of the Diablo franchise, and we’re honored to have had you all along for the ride through the years. From the very first utterance of the Butcher’s iconic “Fresh meat!” to the announcements we’ve shared with the world today, we thank each and every one of you who have grown alongside this series. It’s humbling to have been a part of your lives and we hope we’ll continue to hold a special place in your heart for many years to come.
Celebrate the 20th Anniversary—In-Game!
What’s an anniversary without a party? We’ve got a very special anniversary event coming up in-game to celebrate all twenty years of our history with you! Join us in Patch 2.4.3 as the Darkening of Tristram kicks off and takes your nephalem back to the first time evil invaded a humble, tiny town in Sanctuary.
Head to Old Tristram in Adventure Mode during the month of January to discover a portal where you can explore a Diablo III recreation of the events that transpired in the original Diablo. Filled with iconic enemies, familiar faces, and some old-school items, this event is a nostalgia-packed adventure down memory lane. Transmogrification rewards, achievements, and a few extra surprises await those brave enough to plumb the depths below Tristram.
All presented in GLORIOUS RetroVision™.
Patch 2.4.3 will be hitting the PTR next week, so keep an eye on the front page for news about patch testing.
Load up your Loadouts! Introducing the Armory
We’ve all been there. Your stash is stuffed to the brim with all your different sets and legendary items. You just want to take a break from pushing Greater Rifts to farm a few Death’s Breaths, but who has time to swap out all those skills and gear?
We’re making it easier than ever to swap seamlessly between your favorite styles of game play by introducing the Armory. The Armory is an equipment manager that stores up to five full load outs for your characters. This includes your skills, passives, items, Kanai’s Cube powers, and even your Legendary Gems!
It’s so beautiful. Like the explosion of a loot-filled Treasure Goblin.
The Armory will be coming to Diablo III sometime in 2017—as release draws closer, we’ll have more to share!
Rise from Your Graves: Necromancer Revealed
A new nephalem will begin their part of Diablo III’s story as the Necromancer arrives in New Tristram in 2017. This young, enigmatic member of the Priests of Rathma has sensed a need for their unique power, answering the call on behalf of their mysterious and oft-misunderstood brethren.
We’ve thoroughly covered a more detailed outline of what (and when) to expect the Necromancer in-game over in our Necromancer Overview, so be sure to check out that blog to unbury the deadly details.

Seasons Coming to Console: Console and PC Seasons will align in Season 10
Console Seasons will include the Season Journey, Leaderboards, and all rewards and cosmetics.
Our next Season begins soon! For those among you who enjoy the fresh start a Season brings, we wanted to give you a glimpse into what to expect before you race out the gate in Season 8. Read on for details on rewards, Conquests, and more.
New Cosmetic Rewards
Past Seasons have introduced a new rotation of cosmetic items, and Season 8 continues that trend.
Aside from offering you another chance to acquire pieces of the Conqueror Set, this Season brings you a portrait series inspired by the Burning Hells. We’re also throwing in a new pair of “wings” from one of Diablo II’s most iconic villains: the Maiden of Anguish, Andariel! Once you equip them, enjoy shouting “DIE, MAGGOT!” at your enemies—or chasing one of your Wizard friends while they ineffectually attempt to cast Meteor on you over and over again. Ah, the memories. . . .
Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been playing the past few Seasons diligently and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve accrued a few extra stash tabs. Doing the same in Season 8 will unlock another one, giving you a potential ten stash tabs in total.
Ready to get that sweet storage space? If so, you’ll need to do the following:
Complete a Torment XIII Rift in under 5 minutes
Complete Greater Rift 60 solo
Kill Greed on Torment XIII
Kill Izual on Torment XIII in under 30 seconds
Reforge a Legendary or Set item
Augment two Ancient items with Level 40 or greater Legendary Gems
Level three Legendary Gems to 55
Complete two Conquests
Seasonal Conquests
Speaking of Conquests, we’re rotating those too! For those who hunger for a true challenge in Hardcore, we’re bringing back Lionhearted. If Cursed Chests are your thing, you’ll be pleased to know Curses! and Stars Align are also making a return. Years of War and Dynasty will be a great test for those who enjoy mastering various Class Sets, and if that’s not enough, Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets will challenge your tactical understanding of Set Dungeons.
Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, just as before, you’ll get a shiny new Class Set in the form of Haedrig’s Gift for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey. We’ve listed  the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3 and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you three Haedrig’s Gifts to open. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
In addition, the set you receive will depend on the Class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 8:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
Crusader – Seeker of the Light
Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When does Season 8 start?
A: Season 8 begins Friday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m. PDT in North America, 5:00 p.m. CEST in Europe, and 5:00 p.m. KST in Asia. For help with time zones, click here.
Q: When are the non-Seasonal Leaderboards being wiped?
A: Non-Seasonal Leaderboards are tied to what we call “Eras,” each of which lasts about 6–12 months. The most recent Era began on August 5. For more information on Eras, please see this post.
Q: What will happen to older Seasonal records?
A: As we continue on into additional Seasons, we will no longer be able to store some personal Seasonal records. While Season 8 will store your personal bests for all Seasons to date, at some point in a future Season we will begin removing old personal bests, beginning with Season 1. This will be true regardless of your participation in past Seasons. We will have more details on this at a later date.
Seasonal Leaderboard records are not being cleared, and will remain archived both in game and on our website.
A New Season Begins
It’s hard to believe we’re approaching our eighth Season! That said, what are your goals for this Season? Is there a build you want to give your full attention, or do you have another goal lined up?
Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll see you for the start of Season 8!
Here we are again, nephalem. As we prepare to close out another Season in Diablo III, it's time to take a moment to remember what you have achieved and ensure you're ready for the transition to a new Season.
If you haven't experienced the end of a Season, there's a lot to know about what happens to your gear, progress, and characters. Don't fret! We're here to give you a full overview of what to expect when the current Season ends and the next one begins.
Those who have played through a few Seasons know there has been no shortage of gold, gear, or Paragon levels to earn. So what happens to all that hard earned progress when a Season ends? In short, you get to keep just about all of it.
Here's a list of all the rewards from this Season you can expect your non-Seasonal heroes to enjoy:
Heroes
Seasonal heroes will be converted to either non-Seasonal Normal or Hardcore mode heroes, as appropriate. There's no need to delete any characters to make room for them; your Seasonal heroes will continue to use the same slot they currently occupy in your roster after the rollover. You’ll also be able to use Season Rebirth to convert any non-seasonal character into a Seasonal, level-one character once the next Season begins.
Gold
Any gold you earn during the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes.
Paragon Experience
The total amount of Paragon experience earned is the amount that rolls over, not your raw total amount of Paragon levels gained.
For example, if your Seasonal heroes reached Paragon 300, but your current non-Seasonal heroes are already Paragon 400, your new non-Seasonal Paragon level will still be less than Paragon 700 since higher Paragon levels take more experience to earn.
Blood Shards
Similar to gold, any Blood Shards you have available at the end of the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes.
If your non-Seasonal heroes are currently at the Blood Shard cap, any Blood Shards you earn once the Season ends will temporarily ignore the cap. You can spend these at your leisure; however, note that you cannot pick up any additional Blood Shards until you are below your current cap.
Items
Items that are currently equipped on a hero or in that hero's inventory will stay on that hero as it moves to a non-Seasonal game mode.
Items that are in your Seasonal stash will be sent through the in-game mail system to your non-Seasonal heroes. These items can be claimed by any non-Seasonal hero up to 30 days from the time you first log in after the Season ends.  To access these items, enter a game and hit the Mail icon located in the lower-left corner of your screen to open up your inbox.
Artisan Progress and Recipes
If your Seasonal Artisans are a higher level than your non-Seasonal Artisans at the end of the Season, their level will transfer to your non-Seasonal Artisans.
Any recipes you have on your Seasonal Artisans that are not available to your non-Seasonal Artisans will be transferred as well.
Shared Stash
Any Shared Stash slots or tabs you purchase during a Season that are not currently available to your non-Seasonal heroes will be transferred accordingly.
Achievements
Any achievements or achievement progress made during the Season is automatically applied to your non-Seasonal achievement profile. This happens in real time and does not require the Season to end first. Your achievement point total is also updated appropriately throughout the Season.
Kanai's Cube
After the Season rollover, any Legendary Powers unlocked using Kanai’s Cube on a Seasonal Character will become available on non-Seasonal characters as appropriate.
At the start of a new Season, Seasonal characters will not have access to any Kanai’s Cube Legendary Powers unlocked during previous Seasonal or non-Seasonal play.
Season 7 Rewards
All players who reach level 70 on a hero in Season 7 will unlock exclusive helm and shoulder transmogrification appearances. These appearances will unlock immediately upon hitting level 70 on a Seasonal hero, and will be available on Seasonal and non-Seasonal heroes alike (even before the Season concludes). To access your new appearances, simply visit Miriam the Mystic and open the Transmogrification tab.
In addition, players can earn portrait frames and an exclusive pet for completing various chapters of the Season Journey.
Note that all heroes, rewards, and progress will convert to the appropriate non-Seasonal game mode. Any items, gold, Paragon experience, achievements, Artisan levels or recipes, Stash space, and Blood Shards earned on Normal Seasonal heroes with transfer to your Normal non-Seasonal heroes when the season is over. Similarly, anything you’ve earned on Hardcore Seasonal heroes will transfer to your Hardcore non-Season heroes instead.
Unlike other rewards, Conquests do not roll over at the end of the Season (because they aren’t available to non-Seasonal heroes). This also means that your non-Seasonal Achievement point total will not be affected by any Conquests you earn during a Season.
Once the Season ends, all Seasonal Leaderboards will be wiped and you will be unable to attain new Leaderboard ranks until the next Season begins. The results of the previous Season’s Leaderboards will remain available for viewing in-game. Once the new Season begins, a handy drop-down menu will allow you to swap between the current and previous Season records.
Don't forget that you can also view current and past Leaderboards right here on our website.
The non-Seasonal Greater Rift Leaderboards will also be wiped sometime after the end of the Season. However, you'll immediately be able to compete in the currently active Era with your non-Seasonal heroes (including those who have just rolled over), and will not have to wait for the start of the next Season.
You’ll be able to sort through your rollover rewards and review your progress on the Leaderboards between Seasons. It’s a great time to reflect on the accomplishments you’ve made and enjoy the culmination of your pre- and post-Season loot hunts!
Season 7 will be ending on the following dates and times:
North America: Friday, October 14 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe: Friday, October 14 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
Asia: Friday, October 14 @ 5:00 p.m. KST
Season 8 will begin about one week afterward on these dates:
North America: Friday, October 21 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe: Friday, October 21 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
Asia: Friday, October 21 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

In celebration of Diablo’s 20th anniversary, visitors to the Blizzard booth will be able to play all three Diablo games A 3D artist from the Diablo development team will create a piece of artwork live on the Blizzard stage The following streamers will be live-streaming directly from the Blizzard booth - MrLlama - Qiun69
Derudover teases der for en teaser (!) for Gamescom, som vi alle kan se d. 16. august.
Mark your calendar for 18:30 CEST on Tuesday, August 16, when we release a special preview video of what we’ll be showcasing at gamescom 2016, including some new game content. You'll be able to watch it all live on the Blizzard gamescom hub.
